Ugandans Might start To Enjoy free Netflix soon-RIP DStv
Ugandans might soon enjoy a free Netflix mobile plan as the giant looks to extend its dominance to the East African nations which have around 20 internet Users Daily and our neighbours Kenya have tested the free mobile plan and to be honest if this rolls out, This is gonna be a big problem to DStv.
RIP DSTV AND ITS DISHES
I don’t know why DSTv isn’t going dishless and turn its self into a streaming platform to follow the trend because there is a lot of competition from streaming platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney Plus, HBO max etc and you know what’s funny is that These sites are even way more affordable than DSTV.
DSTv needs to update its Content
Yeah for those of you who own DSTv when was the last time you saw new movies, Series or TV Shows on Mnet movie channels or Studio Universal.
Probably these channels stream content which so old and streaming old content isn’t the problem but streaming the same old content year after year is the issue here and at home, we pay a family subscription but the only people who enjoy watching DSTv Tv nowadays are the Kids at home and also the boys who enjoy watching football but if your a movie fan like me you’ll be disappointed with the content.
What Ugandans Think about DStv in 2021
I went ahead and asked people what they think of DStv and here are some of the issues that they raised about the company.
- Some said that they pay more but they get less for what they pay for
- A lot of them said that they can't seem to be able to stream anything when it is rainy or windy.
- Most complained about not being able to stream local channels when their subscription is done.
- A lot of Ugandans complained about the DStv Explora decorder being too expensive to buy costing around UGx500,000 plus installation while the Zapper recorder plus installation costs are around UGx120,000.
- Streaming old content
- Repetitive Programs.
