Uganda National Students Union held a demonstration against EU Parliament Resolution on East African Crude Oil Pipeline Project(EACOP).
The East African Crude Oil Pipeline Project (EACOP) is a pipeline that is meant to transport oil produced from Uganda's Lake Albert oilfields to the port of Tanga in Tanzania where the oil will then be sold onwards to world markets.

President Museveni had promised Ugandans that by 2025 Uganda will have its oil coming from the East Africa Crude oil pipeline on lake Albert however in September 2022, a resolution by the European Union’s Parliament urging the international community " to exert maximum pressure on Ugandan and Tanzanian authorities, as well as the project promoters and stakeholders ," to stop oil activities around Lake Albert came to place.Uganda had estimated to have reserves of atleast 1.4 billion barrels.
However the opposition side of the government supports the halting the project with some stating that the money which will be made from the project will not be used to develop Ugandans.
How it started versus how it's going. The "our" now is being used expediently, but in reality he still views it and treats it as his personal property. Thank you @SpireJim for putting this into perspective. pic.twitter.com/DBswmGhcxl
