From what I have seen the gap between the haves and have-nots is very large. With more than 85% of the population struggling to figure out their next meal.....yes there are a lot of poor people in Uganda. The rich live very very lavish lifestyles while the poor remain mired in poverty with too few avenues to better themselves. What is the government doing? Nothing making a road for someone without anything to transport is also weird. The man is always singing infrastructure development yet to the poor they are useless. Those investments help those who already have.

Talk about the wages and salaries. Any wise person would see that a foreign company is not supposed to come and make a lot of money using the country's labor only to pay tokens in return. The man is more tax oriented and so long as they pay him his 30% tax he is good to go and last year the minimum wage bill was tabled which he said he cannot discuss.
He also have failed to put a government structured in way that sensitive bodies like the army, police, judiciary, electro-commission and many others are not his partisan. Often times you will find the army and police getting involved in political issues on his favor. Those bodies are supposed to be independent under an ideal government. And this also brings me to ridging elections and i don't want to add on that.
Corruption and embezzlement of government funds, the global fund money was eaten in broad day light and many died because there were no drugs in hospitals. Talk of the recent scandals in the Uganda national roads authority, the pension scams which keep hitting the headlines everyday (including even today as i write this) with the pensioners having been last paid last year in june. It is estimated of the 100% budget every year, over 50% goes in corruption! Honestly, what don't you know if you are Ugandan?

Failure to invest in research and education. The education is deteriorating and its quality keeps limping it only takes a fools mind to undermine the role of research. Even when people use their own resources to come up with something the government doesn't give a hand.
He is a war monger and even with all the problems that Uganda has, he can still find time to fight other people's wars. And on record using the tax payer's money to fund those wars.
