The plane crashed within the city of Yeisk. According to reports of the pilots managed to eject out, the reason for the crash was fire in one of the engines during takeoff.

At the scene of Su-34 crash, in the yard of a residential area, the plane's fuel caught fire. About 30 flats got damaged by fire at Su-34 crash site and The fire engulfed an entire entryway, emergency services reported. According to eyewitnesses, the fire engulfed all floors - from the 1st to the 9th spreading more than 2,000 square metres. The fire affected 15 appartments and several-of them burnt out completely.
After this Tragedy President of Russia ,Putin instructed to provide all necessary assistance to the victims of the plane crash in Yeysk.

The President listened to the reports of ministers and the head of the region on the situation. The governor, the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Minister of Health were instructed to fly to Yeysk to provide all necessary assistance.
