A gunman killed at least five people and injured 18 more at an LGBTQ nightclub in Colorado Springs, Colorado, before being stopped by patrons, law enforcement said.
The incident began around midnight on Saturday, when police began to receive numerous 911 calls regarding an active shooter at the Club Q nightclub.
The exact events that transpired within the club remain unclear. Colorado Springs Police Department Chief Adrian Vasquez said that "at least two heroic people" were able to confront the gunman and bring the shooting to a stop.

Confirmed reports suggested 18 people are injured and 5 dead at an incident that occurred at Club Q which is a Gay and Lesbian nightclub.Reports also suggest that the shooter was among those which got injured and The shooter behind shooting at the LGBTQ club was Anderson Lee Aldrich. This man was previously responsible for bomb threats and was arrested with explosives and weapons in June of last year
