Renowned R&B singer commonly known as R Kelly born Robert Sylvester Kelly, 55 has this Wednesday 29th June 2022 by US federal judge, Ann Donelly sentenced for 30 years in Jail after a year of being convicted for involving in sex trafficking of women and teenagers among other 9 charges he was convicted on.
As the prosecutor wrote in the filing, it is said that the “I believe I can fly” hit maker used his fame, money and popularity to "prey upon children and young women for his own sexual gratification,"
"He continued his crimes and avoided punishment for them for almost 30 years and must now be held to account," prosecutors wrote.
Victims who gave their testimonies on Wednesday in court, Shared some of their heart breaking moments they experienced while being held forcefully in Kelly’s house.

"You degraded me, humiliated me and broke my spirit," said a woman, who went by Jane Doe
"I wished I would die because of how you degraded me."
The victim recalled an incident when she was forced to perform oral sex on the music star "after you played basketball, in a car full of your friends."
"Do you remember that?!" she scolded Kelly, wearing olive colored prison scrubs over a long-sleeve white shirt and a black mask.
However, Kelly’s lawyers have argued that their client must not be in prison for more than 10 years because he experienced a traumatic childhood involving sex abuse, poverty and violence.
