Students in Lyantonde district, St. Gonzaga secondary school have this week on Monday 27th Jun e 2022 held a violent strike against Mr. Emmanuel Lubowa, school’s deputy head teacher over allegations of him being a rumormonger among other female students and use that tool to recover their mobile phones.
One of the loudly male students who were striking was held shouting how the process which ends up confiscating their items goes on.
”the deputy head teacher talks a lot with the female students and sometimes invites them to his house. It is through such secret interactions with girls that he gets information about which students own phones and later confiscates them” he said.

However, the suspect refutes their words with his defense mechanism of saying that “he is a disciplinarian and that is the reason he is paid.” Adding that “The students can say all sorts of things but he cannot break his back”
This action has caused the school to be closed until 11th of July 2022 where the school will hold a meeting with parents on July 4th according to Ms. Joan Nakkunja, the school’s head teacher.
