From my point of view, you can monetize you channel from the get go. Monetization doesn’t only mean AdSense revenue, but, it means to convert something into currency. How? Build an audience then, create products or services that they will buy hence making money.

There are many ways you can get views on your YouTube channel. Start with social media where people already know you and are curious to know what else you can offer apart from those good pictures.
