From my point of view, you can monetize you channel from the get go. Monetization doesn’t only mean AdSense revenue, but, it means to convert something into currency. How? Build an audience then, create products or services that they will buy hence making money.

How can I get views on my Channel?

There are many ways you can get views on your YouTube channel. Start with social media where people already know you and are curious to know what else you can offer apart from those good pictures. Make snip videos and post them on your socials to tease people of what the entire video entails. Let’s talk Facebook, Instagram, twitter, LinkedIn and many others.

How many subscribers do I need to get monetized?

You only need 1000 subscribers and 4000 public watch hours to qualify for monetization with AdSense.

Can I monetize every video that I upload on my Channel?

My answer will be YES and No due to my experience creating content on YouTube.

Let me start with YES, you can make money by monetizing any video you upload on YouTube ONLY if, its advertiser friendly. That means that your videos should not be age restricted, nudity, or anything that doesn’t comply with YouTube monetization polices.

Let’s talk NO you cannot monetize every video that you upload on YouTube when you upload age restricted content, nudity and anything that violates the YouTube monetization policies.

How to make money on YouTube

Just like making money blogging on Instagram or Pinterest you can do the same with your YouTube channel. Without taking so much, let me break down what you came for okay…Lol

1.      Join the YouTube partnership program and monetize with ads.

2.      Sale your content to media

3.      Collaborate with brands

4.      Affiliate marketing

5.      Let your subscribers support you through funding

6.      Sale products or merchandise

1.      Join the YouTube partnership program and monetize with ads.

Joining the YouTube partnership program is one of the way to make money. You can always make money as a creator or by re-uploading other people’s videos but, to qualify for this program. You must have 1000 subscribers and have 4000 public watch hours in the one past year and secure that bag through views.

Here is what you must know about views and money

The number of views you get on your video will never correspond with the money made off that one particular video. Money is only made when people watch the ads on your video to make money.

Money made off YouTube is not for free, it’s worked for. YouTube bills creators depending on how long and ad was watched, like (10, 20, 30 seconds) for you to make that money.

2.      Sale your content to media

You can easily make a decent amount of money licensing you content to media houses. This usually happens when you make viral videos that grab people’s attention. If you fail to get a deal with a TV, you can place your content on video market places like JUKEN MEDIA, where right people looking for your content will find it and purchase.

3.      Collaborate with brands

Now that you have built an audience on your channel and you have the influence on your subscribers and they believe in you. Collaborate with brands and you can make good money by advertising their products to people who watch your videos. Brands are looking for more than influencer marketing. Spending huge budgets on people who already have a loyal subscriber base is worth it

4.      Affiliate marketing

You can also work with brands as an affiliate marketer and make some good passive income through commissions or coupon codes for every sale you make through your channel links in the description box. Once you became an affiliate marketer, you will only make money once you create sales.

Known affiliate programs include, CLICK BANK which gives offers 1% - 75% commission depending on what the vendor has set. We also have the popular Amazon affiliate network. There are many of those and in different niches but it’s your choice to choose what best suits you.

5.      Let your subscribers support you through funding

As a creator, you’re contributing to the internet and you’re not putting your subscribers at a gun point to pay to consumer unless agreed upon. So, your audience may support you for the good content you’re producing.

Therefore, you can set up a fun funding channels to source donations from your loyal subscribers hence making money off YouTube.

6.      Sale products or merchandise

There are a million of products you can sale and make money through your YouTube channel. Sale merchandise water bottles, t- shirts and so many others as they are a great stream for revenue.

Due to your presence online, you can sale anything since people trust you. For example RYAN KEJI makes a lot of money by saling his branded products from RYAN WORLD PRODUCTS which has earned him a fortune at a younger age. You too can sale these self-branded products by ordering affordable designs customized according to your choice. You can make your dream come true by the help of websites like, FIVERR.

That being said, hope you’re now ready to monetize your business online (YouTube channel).

I would like to keep my opinion by saying that what motivated me to start YouTube was money and that still compels me to keep creating good content.
