| Türkiye starts partially paying for Russian gas in rubles |
Türkiye has commenced its partial payments of Russian gas in rubles, Turkish Energy Minister Fatih Donmez said on Tuesday.
In an interview with a local broadcaster, Donmez said that in the coming months the share of local currency payments in energy trade with Russia would increase.

"As you know, an agreement has been reached, partial payment has already begun," Donmez noted. "We intend to intensify our work in this direction."
Earlier in October, the two countries agreed to establish a natural gas hub in Türkiye as an alternative route after the Nord Stream gas pipelines were damaged by blasts. Donmez said Ankara would layout a roadmap by the end of this year and may hold a conference for suppliers and buyers.
