The Russian Ministry of Defense has claimed that it is aware of a large-scale Ukrainian plot to trigger a nuclear “dirty bomb” explosion on its own territory.
The purported aim is to then pin the incident on Moscow in order to provoke a hostile response from Kiev’s Western backers.
According to the MoD, the Ukrainian president’s office has had contact with the UK regarding the procurement of nuclear technologies.
Russian officials said the alleged Ukrainain “dirty bomb” has reached final stages of its production.
