US Probes Huawei Cell Tower Gear Near Missile Silos Concerned that its equipment installed in cell phone towers near military bases and missile silos could feed intel to Beijing, the White House has been investigating China’s Huawei for over a year according to a document seen by Reuters.

The Chinese embassy in Washington claimed the US “abuses the concept of national security and state power to go all out to suppress Huawei and other Chinese telecommunications companies without providing any solid proof that they constitute a security threat.”
The FCC ordered all carriers that received federal subsidies to “rip and replace” Huawei equipment from their networks, but the deadline to do so isn’t until mid-2023 at the earliest.
