‘How To Murder Your Husband’ Author… Murdered Her Husband
A Portland court has convicted Nancy Crampton Brophy of murdering her husband 11 years after she penned an essay titled ‘How to Kill Your Husband’.

Prosecutors had pushed motives of financial problems and cashing in on a life insurance policy, whereas the defense argued Brophy’s possession of gun parts were merely inspiration for her writing.
The circuit judge presiding had excluded the essay from the trial, despite it detailing multiple ways to commit untraceable murder.
