Around 175 extinction rebellion activists were arrested following a protest near oil company buildings in Rotterdam on Wednesday.
The protesters glued themselves to vehicles and the streets, attached themselves to pipes and blocked road traffic in the city. Police were deployed to unglue them from public spaces using bottles and to apprehend them. Some protesters were dragged as they refused to get up.
