After two weeks battling corona virus in Mulago referral hospital in Kampala, yesterday the country received sad news of Iteso paramount chief Emorimor Augustine Osuban Lemukol as it has been confirmed by The Iteso cultural union chairman, Paul Sande on Uganda radio network and Deputy chairperson of National of National resistance movement-NRM, Capt. Mike Mukula via a tweet.
“I join the people of Teso, and the entire country to mourn the death of the Teso cultural leader his highness Emorimor Papa Osuban Augustin Lemukol. I, therefore, in the great memory of Emorimor Papa Augustine Lemukol declare a state funeral” Museveni said on Sunday morning.
A state funeral is a public funeral ceremony that is set to observe rules of protocols held to honor people of national significance and usually include much splendor, religious overtones and distinctive elements of military tradition.
