4 people identified as Pastor Pansiano Olowo from Kisoko Gwarara church, Winfred Ochieng, a resident of Popany village in Magola sub county in Tororo district and Kenede Obbo, a boda boda rider and his wife who is yet to be identified both residents of Ponyira Village were arrested on Thursday due to facts of being involved in murdering a 6 years old boy in child sacrifice rituals.
According to the father of the accused child, Patric Osinde he narrates the events to have been started with a group of machete wielding men who broke into his house on Monday night and held him a hostage for over 10 minutes at the same time when another group of people went to get the victim from kids room and went off with him.
After the incident, Patric Osinde filed a case of kidnap and a missing child at Mile 8 police post in Magola Sub County until they found his body today (Thursday) morning with his eyes missing and his face skin peeled off which indicated to them that he was killed in child sacrifice.
With the use of sniffer dogs, Police commander Rodgers Chebene and his team were directed to to the home of one of the detainees named Ochieng who confessed to have been hired for 1 million shilling to carry out the whole operation.
He told the police that Obbo has been hosting Pastor Pansiano for over two weeks at his home as they were planning the whole operation of sacrificing the child.
Police immediately rushed to Obbo’s home and found Pastor Ponsiano and his collaborator who escaped being lynched by a mob before being taken to the central police station together with Obbo’s wife.
Tororo DPC Rodgers Chebene promised justice to the family of the late young boy, and may his soul rest in eternal peace.
