may.2020 was the day Miss Sheilah Gashumba came out on the internet and painted
color on the peanuts Ugandan tv pays presenters. 50k Ugandan shillings is what
she quoted and this cause a conversation on the internet. She went ahead and
said that she would rather drive an UBER than chill on TV, famous but broke.
On 5th.05.2020, the petite flashy
internet celebrity took it to her Twitter and sent out this Tweet,
“in general,
my point is other jobs are way better than being a TV presenter in Uganda. I
was would rather drive Uber than be known by the whole world for being a tv
presenter with peanuts, famous but broke!! Nah”
Well, today
Twitter is buzzing when the Lil stunner took it to her Twitter and announced
her new job as a tv show host with NBS TV.
“am glad to
be here, been there done it, and doing it again. My new home is @nextnediaug!!
They wanted the best so they got the best with a big bag (money emoji's)
#NBSAfter5"
This
announcement did not sit well on Twitter because according to Twitter, she just
swallowed back her vomits and pretended to be a television star which is a big
lie. A tweep called out her for never being the best tv host and advised her to
go back to school for English classes.
Sheilah
reached to some trolls trying to defend herself by sending out a Twitter with
the intensions of silencing the internet but that was a blow on her face
instead.
“common
sense isn’t common there is a reason why Douglas and Kats left to another
station ( better cheque) and there is a reason why the best tv presenter has to
join the best tv station @nbstv do ur research and stop the noise and don’t
forget to watch the show from Monday to Friday”
In response
to her tweet, one person @bestofUOT sent out a tweet that was a collection of
trolls,
1. You have never been the best tv
presenter in Uganda. We have always been seeing the rankings and we know who
the best is.
2. NBS has consistently ranked as number
3 in most polls behind Bukedde and NTV. It’s not number one.
3. Next time type better English.
4. Reduce the pride.
Those were her points in response to Sheilah's tweet. Some people seem
happy for her landing a new job on tv while others have branded her a proud,
wanna-be good for nothing who is indecisive.
