It seems like your girl Sheilah Gashumba is back on TV
and she’s going nowhere. The petite Ugandan internet celebrity vowed not to
work for any Ugandan TV because of the poor paycheck. She went ahead and
exposed how NTV Uganda exploited her when they paid her, Shs50, 000 per
appearance on a music show, THE BEAT.
Well, last Friday, Miss Sheilah was surprised,
shocked, and left many in a quagmire when she announced to her fans that she's
the next co-host for the After5 show on NBS TV. Did she just sound
controversial? That's a question you should answer personally because everybody
has their perspective on things.
In a tweet directed to all people hating and calling
her out for eating back her words, Lil stunner cleared the air by saying that,
"she's back on TV because the paycheque is bigger and better."
That left many people wondering how much money could that better cheque mean.
However, according to watchdog Uganda, based on
HOW MUCH IS SHEILAH GASHUMBA PAID AT NBS TV?
Exposed her salary. I was curious too to find out how
much the bigger cheque contained.
A reliable source exposed to the watchdog that Sheilah
is going to be paid Shs1.7M every month as a cohost on the music show from
Monday to Friday. Hope that sinks in now. Am sure some of you expected her to
walk away with Shs4M per month but that seems like a dream.
It's also alleged that Crysto Panda was supposed to
cohost on the show but he requested to be paid Shs9M per month but the company
couldn't afford him. So Sheilah came in and she liked the deal and she got the
job. Mc Kats stands at Shs2.2M, Douglas Lwanga at Shs1.8M while Roja and Mercy
stand at 1.5M.
What gives joy and love to these good TV show hosts is
that the company gives them the chance to publicize their businesses on TV
which is a pretty good deal.
