To be honest, people look and
feel healthy for a long time after they're infected with HIV/AIDs. It can take
three months or more for HIV/AIDs to show any symptoms as stated by the doctors
but, that varies from person to person. . Much longer than that for people who
take HIV medicines. That’s why it’s very important to get tested for HIV
regularly, especially if you’ve had unprotected sex or shared sharp tools like
razor blades, needles, and much more. HIV treatment can help you to stay
healthy. Treatment can also lower or even stop your chances of spreading HIV to
other people during sex and create awareness too.
Many relationships are a whole
bug of lies, unfaithfulness, and untruth lately. People are single in
relationships. Yes I know that’s funny to say but it’s the reality that many
couples never accept. Therefore,
starting a deep genuine conversation about different issues HIV/AIDs causes,
effects, prevention, symptoms is rare to find like a cattle bird's egg. Well, in
this article, you will be able to find out signs that show that your partner
has HIV/AIDs but, hiding it from you. Just a disclaimer before I start, am not
writing this to bring anybody living with HIV/AIDs down. This piece was written
for educational purposes.
That being said, let’s get into it,
Swollen
sore throat glands.
Sore throat and swollen lymph
glands can be symptoms of infections that may be viral or bacterial. Lymph
nodes are small round or bean-shaped clusters of cells. Inside lymph nodes are
a combination of different types of immune system cells. These specialized
cells filter your lymphatic fluid as it travels through your body and protects
you by destroying invaders. You may be more likely to notice swelling in
certain areas, such as lymph nodes in your neck and under your chin. The most
cause of swollen sore throat glands is a viral infection and HIV stands first.
Therefore, your spouse having swollen sore throat glands could be living with
HIV but hiding it from you.
Chronic
body rash.
A rash can be local to just
one small part of the body, or it can cover a large body area. Rashes come in
many forms, and common causes include contact dermatitis, bodily infections,
and allergic reactions to taking medication. They can be either be dry, moist,
bumpy, smooth, cracked, or blistered. They can be painful and itchy. There are
several potential causes of rashes including, allergies, diseases, reactions,
and medication. They can also be caused by bacterial fungal, viral, or
parasitic infections. Well, your partner's chronic body rash could be a sign
that your partner is living with HIV but fearing to share their secret with
you. Hmm, how about that. But let me remind you that, the best way to know your
HIV status is by testing first.
Fatigue.
Many people who are living
with HIV experience fatigue. It may be directly related to HIV or indirectly
through medication, psychological effects, or life stress. Sometimes, HIV causes
fatigue because of its impact on a human’s immune system. In the same vine, your partner complaining
about fatigue all the time could be a sign that they’re living with HIV but
seeking pleasure in hiding.
Mouth
ulcers.
Mouth ulcers are also known as
canker sores. They are normally small, painful lesions that develop in your
mouth or at the base of your gums. They can make drinking, eating, and talking
so uncomfortable. Mouth sores are a common symptom of HIV. Between 32 – 46 percent
of people with HIV develop mouth complications due to the weakened immune
system. These mouth sores can interfere with a person's well-being. In the case
of HIV, these sores and infections are more difficult to treat and interfere
with eating and medication that's why your partner is hiding the truth from
you.
Constant
fever.
Like many viruses, HIV can
affect people in different ways. If someone contracts HIV, they might
experience persistent or occasional symptoms. Also, their symptoms might be
mild and severe. One of the most common symptoms of HIV is fever. People living
with HIV can develop a fever due to a variety of reasons. They can develop a
fever as part of an adverse reaction to the medication. Well, your partner’s
constant fever is not only due to the cold weather but, could be due to HIV and
that’s why he/she is not telling you the truth but, seeking refuge in hiding.
Just a little quick one here,
like earlier stated it's very important to test for HIV to know the truth
rather than just assuming based on only signs observed especially if you’ve
been having unprotected sex, sharing razor blades just for clarity. Now, to
those reading, this article and your partner who have been showing any of the
signs highlighted above, kindly talk to them and encourage them to consider HIV
test for affirmation. To those diagnosed with HIV, it's not the end of your
life and dreams but rather a new start of your life. Take your medication as
prescribed by the medical personnel. Remember to share this piece with a friend
because sharing is caring. Leave a comment regarding this article or any other
signs that I might have left out. See you in my next article.
